Developing future leaders, every day

At Vandalia-Butler City Schools, we provide our students with access to high quality learning opportunities that expand their prospects for success in college, career, and life. Recognizing that our students must be prepared for a highly competitive global society, we teach 21st century skills through carefully designed learning experiences.

These experiences build fundamental skills and knowledge while fostering innovation, communication, collaboration, and creativity. Instruction is guided by a wealth of data that enables our teachers to individualize instruction and meet the educational needs of every student.

Our district also recognizes that ongoing education of our staff is critical for student achievement. That’s why professional development is a supporting pillar in the district’s strategic plan. Our staff members regularly seek opportunities to expand their skill sets and knowledge. We have additionally shared our best practices with other teachers and districts at regional and statewide conferences.

The intense focus on student achievement has earned our district a rating of excellent for six years in a row, as well as one of the highest graduation rates in Ohio.
