Election Update

April 29, 2020

Today, we have confirmed with the Montgomery County Board of Elections that with only approximately 500 outstanding ballots, the 10 year Emergency levy has been renewed by the Vandalia-Butler community. On behalf of the Board of Education, the staff, and students of the Vandalia-Butler City Schools, we want to thank you, the voters and the community, for your positive support of our district. This levy renewal helps provide the District the financial resources and stability needed to continue key initiatives from the Our Children, Our Community Strategic Plan. We continue to pledge to be responsible stewards of the District resources and will always endeavor that our schools reflect the values of this wonderful community.

Master Facility Planning Master Facility Planning

We are now halfway through the second year of the Vandalia-Butler City School District’s (VBCSD) Connecting Aviators: Our Children, Our Community strategic plan.  This year, we continue working on 41 of the 43 strategic actions outlined in the plan.  With a strong focus in the goal areas of stakeholder engagement, promoting local governance, and academic excellence, we are beginning some very important work in the area of maintaining a facilities plan.
