A MILESTONE: VANDALIA-BUTLER CITY SCHOOLS RECEIVE MORE THAN $24,000 IN GRANTS TO FUND INNOVATIVE CLASSROOM INITIATIVES Vandalia-Butler Foundation

The Vandalia-Butler Foundation, primarily through its VISIONS Endowment Fund, has awarded more than $24,000 in educational grants to support a dozen initiatives, including materials for biomedical sciences classes at the high school, ukuleles for middle-grade students and a trip to the Indianapolis Children’s Museum for elementary school students.

Not only is this disbursement of $24,076 in grants a new record, it’s also a milestone.

VBCSD Announced its 2019-20 Free and Reduced Lunch Policy National School Lunch and Breakfast

The Vandalia-Butler City Schools Food Service department accepts free and reduced meal applications online.   You are encouraged to complete an online application instead of a paper application if you are able.    The online application has the same requirements and will ask you for the same information as the paper application.

Master Facility Planning Master Facility Planning

We are now halfway through the second year of the Vandalia-Butler City School District’s (VBCSD) Connecting Aviators: Our Children, Our Community strategic plan.  This year, we continue working on 41 of the 43 strategic actions outlined in the plan.  With a strong focus in the goal areas of stakeholder engagement, promoting local governance, and academic excellence, we are beginning some very important work in the area of maintaining a facilities plan.
