Some Smith students are celebrating impressive scores on the 37th Annual Math Olympiads monthly competitions.
More than 150,000 students in grades 4-8 from around the world participated in the competitions. Students had to solve five difficult math problems that required creative thinking.
Two Smith students earned a 16 out of 25, scoring in the top 20% of all students. Two more students scored in the top 25%. In all, 17 Smith students scored in the top 50% of the world.
