Military Families in Vandalia-Butler

The important service our military families provide for our district and country is genuinely appreciated by our school district and community. We recognize that transitioning in and out of schools is a challenging experience for the parents and students.

We strive to be a Military Family-Friendly school district and embrace the relationships we create with all students in all of our schools.

Your children deserve the very best our public schools have to offer. We hope that your experience in Vandalia-Butler will be a positive one, and we invite you to contact us if we can be of assistance while you are here. We are proud of our accomplishments as a Purple Star District, and we will continue our efforts to improve the lives of the children we serve. Best wishes for continued success, and thank you for all you do to protect and defend our nation.

Month of the Military Child

April is the Month of the Military Child and VBCSD will have a district-wide spirit week to support our military-connected students.

Purple Star and Military Appreciation Night

Vandalia-Butler students and their families attended a Purple Star and Military appreciation night during a recent Butler football game.  Students were recognized on the field prior to kickoff and enjoyed participating in special pregame activities.
